Unlikely Bikers x Wheel Good Rides

There is a resource gap in our area for beginner cyclists (where to ride, how to ride on roads safely, bike maintenance & knowledge) and a view of what a ‘typical’ cyclist is. We want to change that.

The aim of this project is to create a new community of accessible & fun riding in our local area and encourage people to choose cycling as a green transport option.

We will facilitate at least 20 group guided rides from spring to summer, catering to the ability of the attendees of each ride.

Ian from Unlikely Bikers will lead our beginner group on rides lasting about 1 hour. Ian is a brilliant cyclist, passionate about making cycling accessible to everyone and has a wealth of experience as a Bikeability instructor.

We will also have a group for steady riders (who may be new to group cycling) - these are our weekly ‘Wheel Good Rides’ which will be 1.5 to 2 hours.

All routes and speeds will be catered to the ability of the group and we encourage everyone with a bike to get in touch and join us on a ride.

We’ll be launching these rides again this Spring - interested? Email us at wheelgoodvibes@gmail.com
