Wheel Good Group Bike Rides
Cycling is for fun, freedom, joy, shopping, commuting, school runs, leisure and fitness.
This Spring, Wheel Good Vibes CIC will be gearing up again to run group bike rides led by qualified ride leaders. We’ll be announcing the schedule for these soon so stay tuned here and on our social media.
We have two main aims for our rides:
Help people gain confidence to cycle independently
Join one of our rides and leave feeling happier than when you started!
Our rides are free to join and we can even help you take part if you don’t have a bike.

Easy Going Group (by Unlikely Bikers)
A slow paced ride suitable for anyone who just learned to ride a bike or is getting back into cycling. As long as you can steer, pedal and use your brakes this is right for you.
Ride for approximately 1 hour
Low traffic and traffic-free routes
Fitness is not important
Rides will be easy paced, over shorter distances of around five or six miles
Distance and speed of rides adapted to the group
Rides will be led by Ian from ‘Unlikely Bikers’ - an experienced, supportive and friendly Ride Leader and Bikeability instructor.
Steady Group (Wheel Good Rides)
If you’re comfortable at beginner level, join our intermediate rides. These ‘Wheel Good Rides’ will have regular breaks and a cafe or pub stop on the route.
Ride for approximately 2 hours (with breaks and a stop)
Cover a little more distance, riding at a steady pace suitable for everyone
We help you build confidence, skills and fitness
Scenic rides exploring our local area
Rides adapted to the group
You will have bike handling ability and fitness to cycle steadily for 2 hours with a stop, even if there is a wobble here and there.
There may be hills but they will be short and not too steep. It should be safe to get off and walk if needed, unless the ride leader states otherwise.
Our Wheel Good Rides will be led by two of our Good Vibe Ride Leaders, who are all friendly, supportive and knowledgeable cyclists.
All of our rides will be adapted to the level of the group, so please get in touch with us whatever your cycling experience!
Meeting point for the rides: Williams Cycles, Cheltenham.
